Scrollavezza & Zanrè Atelier Violin – Copy of Giovanni Francesco Pressenda of 1821 – Parma 2019

We are pleased to announce that we now carry instruments from the workshop of Scrollavezza and Zanre. Elisa Scrollavezza and Andrea Zanrè dedicate themselves to the making of string instruments in their Parma atelier and are devoted to restoration, historical research and cultural activities. The Scrollavezza & Zanrè Atelier was founded in 2002 in Parma, Italy, by Elisa Scrollavezza and Andrea Zanrè and continues to be active in the making of fine string instruments. This Workshop or Atelier Series violin is a copy of a Giovanni Francesco Pressenda of 1821 and it was made in Parma on 2019. It has a two-piece top of alpine spruce with a medium regular grain, a gorgeous one-piece maple back with a deep regular curl with similar ribs and scroll. The oil varnish of red brown color over a golden ground is slightly shaded. Pressenda is considered the finest maker of the modern Turin school.
