Description Another new addition to our range of Ralf Aust razors this 7/8 version has a carbon steel satin finished blade and is set off by some stunning horn scales. The spine is plain with jimping to the upper and lower tang. It has the usual “Ralf Aust Solingen” mark on the tang and the “Solingen Handarbeit” – handmade in Solingen – mark on the blade. This razor is for a more experienced straight razor user looking for a large razor with some weight to it. This blade has a form of a Spanish point to it. It is, however, slightly more of a wave shape than a crescent than is found on razors from some other manufacturers. The scales on this razor are fairly unusual in that the horn used is ivory in colour with flecks of pale ochre. The photographs however are of the razor that is for sale. The scales on these razors are in the traditional style. They are highly polished to show off the horn’s colouring to its best advantage. All Ralf Aust razors have a full hollow ground blade.
